How Mounjaro works

Tirzepatide is the active ingredient of Mounjaro. Tirzepatide’s “mechanism of action” is to mimic the action of two key hormones: glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1).
