Whilst you can drink on Mounjaro, the medication can cause dehydration, which can then be made worse with drinking alcohol – including the hangover!

It’s important to stay hydrated, so make sure to drink water in between (or as well as) alcoholic drinks. It’s also important to remember that there are lots of calories in alcoholic drinks even in the sugar free ones, so for optimal weight loss the less alcohol the better!
A rare, but serious, consequence of this type of medication is pancreatitis, so it is important to avoid anything which may increase the risk of pancreas damage, such as alcohol.
