01Dosage schedule
What’s the dosing schedule?
Mounjaro is taken once a week in the form of a “Mounjaro kwikpen” injection. The specific dosage and schedule will be determined based on individual needs and medical history. However, assuming no (or mild) side effects a fairly typical treatment plan could start as follows:
Weeks 1 – 4: 2.5mg (once a week)
Weeks 5 – 8: 5mg (once a week)
Weeks 9 – 12: 7.5mg (once a week)
Weeks 13 – 16: 10mg (once a week)
Please note that progression to stronger doses will be assessed individually and your clinician may increase your dose more slowly based on how well your body tolerates the medication.
